SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY REPORTED: The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the report of suspicious activity. A 10-year-old boy reported that on April 7 between 5:45 p.m. to 6 p.m., he was walking home from a basketball game in the 2300 block of Smallwood Drive in Waldorf when an unknown male pulled up beside him, offered him candy and asked if he needed a ride. The boy declined and reported the incident to a relative. The man is described as a white male in his 40’s with short, graying blond hair. He was wearing dark sunglasses, an orange sweatshirt, and white shoes and he was driving a yellow, two-door car. There have been no similar reports. Anyone with information is asked to call Cpl. P. THEFTS FROM AUTOS: Between April 7 and April 8, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) stole items from cars in the area of Heron Place, Mourning Dove Place, Grantham Court and Kenbrooke Court in Waldorf. Several of the cars had been left unlocked with valuables inside. Officer M. Hunt is investigating.
THEFTS: On April 6 between 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., unknown suspect(s) removed tires from a car parked at the Mattawoman Park and Ride in the 3200 block of Mattawoman Beantown Road. Officers also observed the window to another car had been broken out. POII J. Bottorf is investigating.
