POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE: On January 3 at 10:26 p.m., POII C. Chamblee initiated a traffic stop for a speed violation in the area of Hawthorne Road at Lower Wharf Road in Indian Head. Upon making contact with the driver, Officer Chamblee observed drug paraphernalia in the driver’s door handle and located Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills along with other drugs inside the car. Mark Anthony Burnette, 45 of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to distribute.

CCSO APPREHENDS ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT: On December 31 at 9:43 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 4400 block of Crain Highway in White Plains for the report of an armed robbery. Upon their arrival, officers learned that a masked male entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled. CCSO K9 teams set up a track which led to a church next to the business. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation. While conducting interviews with individuals that were in the church at the time, the suspect was identified. A search was conducted and items related to the robbery were located. The suspect, a 17 year old male, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and first and second-degree assault.
