OFFICERS APPREHEND BURGLARY SUSPECT: On June 12 at 1:30 a.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Wakefield Circle in Waldorf after a homeowner called and said a man was trying to force open the back patio door. The homeowner yelled out but the man kept trying to get inside. Officer J. Ryan and Cpl. M. Sokoloff arrived and located the suspect, Derron Jerrell Hall, 29, of Waldorf. They also found marijuana in his possession. Hall was charged with trespassing and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

MAIL THEFT: On June 11 at 11:50 a.m., officers responded to the 8500 block of Ridge Court in Waldorf after the homeowner noticed a car pull up to her mailbox and grab the outgoing mail.  The suspect was driving an older model, four-door passenger car. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.
