CCSO INVESTIGATING MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH:  On April 10, at 4:09 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of McDaniel Road in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle crash. Investigation showed the driver of a Nissan Altima, 28, was traveling South on McDaniel Road when she struck a 10-year-old male who was crossing the street on his bicycle in a designated crosswalk. The child suffered severe injuries and was flown to Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The child, who was wearing a helmet, was in the company of his mother and two friends when he was struck. The crosswalk is clearly marked by road notification markings and street signs.
