Homicide Investigation

On October 12 at about 7:45 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the rear of a shopping center at 3220 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an unconscious female lying in the parking lot. Officers arrived and found the woman deceased; it appeared she had been run over by a car.

Officers and detectives quickly developed information that the woman had been involved in an argument with her husband moments before she was found. Detectives located her husband at their house in Waldorf and members of the Emergency Services Team apprehended him inside. He was transported to a hospital for a medical evaluation. The woman was later identified as Jennifer Lynn Weyhenmeyer, 36, of Waldorf.

Investigators recovered a Ford Edge at the house and forensic examiners will collect evidence. Detectives are pursuing additional information and charges are pending. Detective C. Shankster is investigating. Anyone with additional information is asked to call (301) 932-2222.
