CCSO Detectives Charge Six Suspects in Homicide Case

Detectives assigned to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have charged six suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of Samuel Keith Gemeny, 35, of Waldorf. The homicide occurred on May 16 in the 3400 block of Promenade Place in Waldorf. Gemeny was shot inside his apartment during a dispute about property. On May 16 at approximately 8:24 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of Promenade Place in Waldorf for the report of a shooting. MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY: On May 10, John Edward Hall, 72, of Drayden, MD, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography. Cruelty to Animals / Crime Solvers Offering Cash Reward

 

 On May 2 between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m., a pet cat was found injured in the 5200 block of Colebrook Street in La Plata. The owner originally thought the cat, Maximus, had been struck by a car, but doctors at the emergency animal clinic discovered the cat had been shot with a high-powered pellet gun. The cat’s leg was shattered and eventually had to be amputated. He is still being…

CCSO to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint
