LEOSA Training Announcement

In 2018, LEOSA Training will continue to be held the first and third Thursday of the month, except when a conflict exists with our training schedule.

The current dates for 2018 are:

1/4, 1/18, 2/1, 2/15, 3/1, 3/15, 4/5, 5/3, 6/7, 6/21, 7/5, 7/19, 8/2, 8/16, 9/20, 10/4, 10/18, 11/15, 12/6, 12/20.

Please note, training will not be held on holidays.

Suspect in Sexual Assault of Child May Have Assaulted Other Children

Charles County Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation of Joseph Elmer Rohls, 80, of Newburg, who was arrested on Nov. 22 and charged with sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl. Since his arrest, two other victims have come forward and reported Rohls had sexually assaulted them when they were young girls. Charles County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Joseph Elmer Rohls, 80, of Newburg, in connection with fondling a 4-year-old girl who was at Rohls’ home with relatives recently.
