Bank Robbery

On Aug. 30 at 10:30 a.m., a man on a motorcycle pulled into the parking lot of the Capitol One Bank at the Waldorf Market Place and, wearing his helmet, walked inside. Speed Cameras Re-Activated

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office will re-activate automated speed enforcement cameras in designated school zones starting Monday, Sept. 2. Drug Arrests

For the second time this year, narcotics detectives with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office have arrested the same two people in connection with distributing drugs. Park-and-Ride Arrests

On Aug. 20, officers assigned to the CCSO COPs unit conducted special patrols at the Smallwood Park and Ride due to complaints of loitering and drug and alcohol use. Officers charged two adults with alcohol violations and a third person was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute.

Arrest Made in Shooting

On Aug. 23 at 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the Dash-In at 2007 Smallwood Drive West in Waldorf for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers were told two men in two different cars had exchanged words near the gas pumps.
