MAN CHARGED WITH ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A HANDGUN: On April 23 at 5 p.m., officers received information about a male who was possibly in possession of a handgun at a fast food business in the 1100 block of Smallwood Drive West. Officers arrived and observed a man fitting the suspect’s description. He was in possession of a loaded handgun, which was in his coat pocket. Further investigation revealed the suspect is illegally prohibited from possessing any firearms. Dejuan Tracey Hart, 32, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a handgun and other related charges.

ROBBERY: On April 23 at 1:51 p.m., officers responded to a gas station on High Street in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed the suspect entered the gas station, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled. Det. J. Riffle is investigating.
THEFTS FROM AUTOS: On April 23, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) entered several unlocked cars in the area of Sandra Court and Helen Court in Waldorf and stole multiple items, which had been left inside the vehicles. Officer B. Gray is investigating.
ROBBERY: On April 21 at 7:09 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Adams Road in Waldorf for the report of a citizen robbery. Investigation showed the victim arranged to meet an individual, via an online app, to purchase an electronic device. During the course of the sale, a second male approached her; he was armed with a gun and demanded her money and other valuables. The CCSO is reminding people to make online exchanges in public places such as the parking lot of a police station. Det. Wimberly is investigating.
