On October 8, detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Jalen Andre Simon, 19, of Accokeek, following an investigation into three reported incidents involving groping and assault. In July 2026, officers responded to a business in Waldorf for the report of a male who groped a woman while she was shopping. In September, two other cases were reported. Officers and detectives were able to positively identify the suspect, and a search warrant was served at his residence with assistance from the Prince George’s County Police Department. Simon was charged with 4th degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct. On October 9, the courts ordered Simon could be released from the Charles County Detention Center on electronic monitoring. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who may have information regarding these incidents or believes they may have been a victim is encouraged to contact Detective Bagwell at 301-609-6501.
