On July 16, detectives charged a 16-year-old male in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on July 13 in the area of Post Office Road and Gallery Place in Waldorf. The victim reported that he was walking along the path when the suspects approached him. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s shoes, backpack and jewelry. The victim complied and the suspects fled. During the investigation, officers identified one of the suspects. A search warrant was served at the suspect’s residence during which a loaded firearm was recovered from the suspect’s bedroom. The suspect was arrested and charged as an adult with robbery, illegal possession of a firearm and other related charges.
