A Message From Sheriff Troy D. Berry
As the Sheriff of Charles County, it is my honor to present the Charles County Sheriff’s Office 2024 Annual Report. This report reflects a year of progress, innovation, and dedication—driven by the tireless efforts of more than 650 sworn and civilian professionals who proudly serve our agency.
In the face of a growing population and the ongoing nationwide shortage of police officers—a challenge we feel here at home—we continue to rise to the occasion. Our team remains committed to finding new and effective ways to prevent and combat crime. We leverage advanced technology in our investigations, collaborate with allied agencies to identify and address crime trends, and strengthen our partnerships with neighborhoods, businesses, and community organizations across Charles County.
Public safety is a shared responsibility, and we are truly stronger together. The trust and support we receive from our community are essential to our success, and I remain grateful for the strong relationships we have built with the citizens we serve.
Together, I am confident that we will continue to achieve great things and ensure Charles County remains a safe and vibrant place for our families, our future, and all who call it home.
