On June 28 at 11:38 pm, officers responded to 8000 block of Bowie Road in Nanjemoy, MD for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived to find an adult male with gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A preliminary investigation revealed the male was unknown by the homeowner and was shot as he approached the owner on their property. Detectives and forensics personnel are gathering evidence and are working with the Charles County State’s Attorney’s office as they continue to investigate. Additional details will be released when available.
