On May 1 at 8:17 p.m., the driver of a passenger car was traveling southbound on Old Washington Road near Trade Zone Court in Waldorf when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was trying to cross the roadway. The pedestrian was also struck by another vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Old Washington Road. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased, and both drivers of the cars remained on the scene. Investigators are trying to locate the pedestrian’s next of kin, and their name will be released upon notification to the family.
