BURGLARY: On October 24 at 10:42 p.m., officers responded to an establishment in the 2000 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf for an intrusion alarm. Investigation revealed an unknown suspect used a crow bar to break the glass door. Once inside, the suspect ransacked the office. Nothing appeared to be missing. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black gloves and a green Halloween mask. Officer R. Harris is investigating.
OFFICERS CONDUCT WARRANT SWEEP AS PART OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH: Between 10 p.m. October 18 and 6 a.m. October 19, officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the Prince George’s County Police Department conducted a warrant sweep and made 43 attempts to serve people with outstanding domestic-related warrants. A total of 13 fugitives were located. Officers from the Domestic Violence Unit and Child Support Enforcement Unit take part in warrant sweeps every October during the National Family Violence Apprehension Detail in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In addition, during the month-long operation, 50 additional warrants were served.
