FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH: On July 21 at 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of Matthews Road at Marshall Hall Road in Bryans Road for the report of a motorcycle crash. A preliminary investigation showed Adam Harley Rogers, 32, of Indian Head, was operating a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle on Matthews Road when he struck a curb and crashed. He was initially unconscious but regained consciousness shortly after the crash. While preparations for transport via MSP Trooper 2 were underway, Rogers stopped breathing and CPR was initiated. He was transported to Charles Regional Medical Center by ambulance where he died a short time later. Sgt. Jon Burroughs of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.

OFFICER APPREHENDS BURGLARY SUSPECT AND RECOVERS STOLEN MERCHANDISE: On July 22 at 1:52 a.m., officers responded to the Toys-R-Us in Waldorf for the report of an intrusion alarm. When the first officer arrived, he observed the front door was open. While inside checking, the officer observed the suspect, who was not wearing a shirt but had on gloves and pants, hiding behind a shelf in the rear of the store. The suspect fled out of the back doors and the officer pursued him on foot. The suspect continued to a wooded area where he fell and was subsequently apprehended. A total of 24 PS3 and PS4 video games were recovered. Kareem Wali Bright, 20, of Waldorf, was charged with burglary and theft. Officer A. Bringley made the arrest.
ROBBERY: On July 22 at 3:52 a.m., officers responded to the 9600 block of Lexington Place in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. A preliminary investigation showed the victim fell asleep in his car when he was approached by three males. One suspect displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspects stole a computer which was in the victim’s car and then fled on foot. Pfc. C. Curtis is investigating.
