School Bus Crash

On Sept. 25 at 7:50 a.m., the driver of a Cadillac Escalade was traveling in the 2400 block of Davis Road in Waldorf when she struck a curb, lost control of her vehicle and struck a school bus head on. Suspicious Activity Reported at Bus Stop

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of suspicious activity that occurred about 8:40 a.m. on Sept. 18 at a school bus stop at the intersection of Normandie Woods Drive and Charles Street in La Plata. A man in a sport-utility vehicle stopped at the bus stop, lowered his passenger-side window and initiated a conversation with a 6-year-old boy who was alone at the stop.

Crash Investigation: Vehicle Into Lake

On Sept. 10 at 12:25 p.m., a 25-year-old Temple Hills woman was driving her Hyundai north on St. Charles Parkway near St. Thomas Drive in Waldorf when her vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree.
