SECOND- DEGREE BURGLARY: Sometime between the hours of 11 p.m. on June 7 and 9 a.m. on June 8, unknown suspect(s) cut a hole through the fence in the pool area at a recreation center in the 6000 block of Hampshire Circle in Waldorf. Once inside, the suspect(s) forced entry into a concession stand and stole sodas. PFC. Baker is investigating.

FIRST- DEGREE BURGLARY: On June 7 at 2:49 a.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Ellerbe Drive in Indian Head for the report of a burglary in progress. The victim reported he heard someone running out of his residence through a side door. The victim chased after the suspect, but was unable to apprehend him or obtain a description. Officers canvassed the area and found evidence. POII Caywood is investigating.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: On June 5 at 1:56 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Lake Drive in Waldorf for the report of an attempted breaking and entering in progress. The homeowner said a man was trying to break inside. The man fled prior to police arrival. Officers canvassed the area and a police K9 tracked the suspect to a nearby neighborhood. PFC. V. Warker is investigating.

DIRT BIKE STOLEN: Sometime between June 3 and June 4, unknown suspect(s) broke into a shed and stole a dirt bike in the 2700 block of Marlette Place in Waldorf. The dirt bike is a 2003 Honda CR250R. POII S. Hooper is investigating.

BURGLARY: On June 4 at 7:48 a.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Manning Court in Waldorf for the report of a break-in. The homeowner entered the house, which was supposed to be vacant, and saw a male and a female run out of the back door. It appeared the suspects had been staying at the house.  PFC J. Hatfield is investigating.

BURGLARY: Sometime between June 2 at 8 p.m. and June 3 at 7:30 a.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into New Life Church located at 9690 Shepherd’s Creek Place in La Plata by unknown means. The suspect(s) stole electronics, and a small amount of cash. The suspect(s) also damaged a door and a television. PO I R. McMullen is investigating.

BURGLARY: On June 3 at approximately 8:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at South Potomac Church in White Plains. Upon arrival, it was learned that the suspect attempted to open the front door but it was locked. He then walked to the rear of the church and threw a concrete paver through a window. The suspect gained entry but fled through the front door moments later without taking anything. Detective E. Weaver is investigating.

BURGLARY: Between June 1 at 4 p.m. and June 3 at 6 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s residence through the rear basement window and stole multiple items, including electronics, jewelry, clothing, shoes and prescription medication. Drywall in the basement was also damaged. PO1 C. Chamblee is investigating.

BURGLARY: On June 2 between 8:10 a.m. and 11:40 a.m., unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the victim’s residence in the 9900 block of Sodus Court in Faulkner by smashing out a window. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a jar of loose change. Evidence was collected from the scene. PFC. Hancock is investigating.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On June 6 at 7:32 p.m., officers responded to a liquor store in Indian Head for the report of a disorderly subject who was throwing merchandise around the store and destroying property. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect throwing merchandise and yelling. Officers were able to subdue the subject but he resisted and appeared to be under the influence of PCP. Jermaine Jay Mason, 28, of Bryans Road was charged with destruction of property. PFC Sylvestre is investigating.
