On December 4 at approximately 8 p.m., officers responded to the area of northbound Crain Highway near Shining Willow Way in La Plata for the report of a car crash involving a pedestrian. Members of the CCSO Traffic Operations Unit are investigating a crash that killed a woman. Sheriff’s Office to Begin Holiday Patrols

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office will begin operating under its Holiday Safety Plan on Friday, November 25. The mission is to increase patrols in shopping centers and neighborhoods by utilizing officers normally assigned to units outside of patrol operations.
